Beyond our sacred Jewish books, lies another realm of story and myth. The rich fabric of Near Eastern mythology informs the cultural world of ancient Judaism. These narratives of Biblical figures, seen in a world of Pre-Judaic paganism and magic help us to understand the many layers of Jewish folklore.
