For expectant parents
Join the Bureau of Jewish Education and local synagogues for an exciting and informative program for expectant parents combining preparation for childbirth plus parenting for the Jewish family.

Discover the rich traditions and rituals associated with childbirth as you prepare to become parents and to raise your baby in your Jewish home. Interfaith couples are encouraged to attend.
Jewish Baby University is offered three times per year.

JBU Family Circle
Perhaps you also attended Baby & Me Shabbats or the Training Wheels Programs or made life-long friends to celebrate Shabbat or Jewish holidays together with your class friends over the years.
JBU Family Circle was launched in June 2019 to serve and connect with alumni families who have been touched by the BJE’s JEWISH BABY UNIVERSITY program at a most crucial and special time in their lives to raise an initial $40,000 so these important programs can continue to reach parents-to-be for years to come.
Here are just a few of testimonies from alumni:
“Jewish Baby University educated and empowered us first time parents.” Leann
“Mommy & Daddy are so glad they took (the BJE’s) Jewish Baby University. They have made lifelong friends …The class is a blessing!” Emma
“Jewish Baby University is such a great way to learn about Judaism and welcome a new baby into our life…to meet other great couples…JBU provides such a wonderful gift to new parents giving comfort and hope.” Amanda & Josh
Please considering paying it forward to support our efforts so that more parents-to-be can experience this program and build a meaningful Jewish life for their families.
The Bureau of Jewish Education offers a wide range of programming for people and families--from couples to parents to grandparents. Our parenting programs and classes enable parents and grandparents to teach their children about Judaism so that they can create meaningful Jewish rituals, observances and traditions in their OWN HOMES. We encourage parents to assume the role of being their children's primary teacher and engage in Jewish learning and observance for themselves as well as for their children. The BJE's wide range of programming offers people opportunities to enhance their Jewish knowledge and to participate in Jewish living.
