Turning to those memories in the corners of our minds, and the experiences that shaped them, we’ll look at 20th century American Jewish life to examine its impact on Jewish identity, then and now. Among the topics explored are: post war prosperity, economic progression, antisemitism, women’s liberation movement, growth of Reform and Conservative Judaism, Jewish Renewal, the Chavurah movement, and the resurgence of orthodoxy. This course will help us better understand the ways we were and the ways we are now.
Tuesdays beginning April 21 through April 28 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cost: $30
