Over our history of 233 years the United States has faced many significant crises that have threatened the future of the nation, the undermining of our values, stability as a democracy, or survival as a country. This class will review several of those times, and identify the different and essential qualities of presidential leadership that helped, and assured, that we as a people, and as a country, recognized and understood the issues we were facing and addressed them in a proactive manner, that enabled us to emerge as a more united and cohesive nation.?
