Do you remember waiting anxiously for the mailman, anticipating a letter or receiving one by surprise? Reading it with tears of laughter or joy or sadness, then putting it away for safe keeping, to reread or to pass on? Starting with Sarah Abrevaya Stein’s Family Papers, A Sephardic Journey through the Twentieth Century this class will look at how letters make the past come alive and enrich our own understandings of who came before us and who has come after.
Mondays, March 14 and 21 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Cost: $36
