Combining wildly diverse historic and contemporary artistic portrayals of medical procedures, practitioners, personalities and patients across cultures, with texts on the politics, ethics, and unfolding discoveries in medicine, this 7 week course will resonate personally as we consider the history of medicine, the doctor-patient relationship, and the place and impact of medical technology in our own lives.
