“What’s a Jew to Do? Answers from a Handbook, ‘Orchot Hayim, Paths of Life’ (1579)”.

  • Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus 12701 North Scottsdale Road Scottsdale, AZ, 85254 United States (map)

In the 16th Century, a Rabbi known as the Rosh, sought to answer the question of What a Jew should do”, for curious Jews of his day. Mixing matters of ethical and ritual practices, the Rosh created a handbook on Jewish spirituality and ethics, still relevant today. We will carefully study Orchot Hayim, discussing the issues he raises and how they are relevant (or not) for our personal and communal behavior today.

Wednesdays beginning November 1 through December 1 from 1:45 PM - 2:45 PM
Cost: $78

Faculty: Rabbi Barton Lee
