Hebrew for Credit is an accredited high school language program with Cognia, accepted at many valley high schools for foreign language credit.
Hebrew for Credit is only available to Hebrew High students. Classes meet every Tuesday 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM and Thursdays 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM in-person at the Ina Levine JCC Campus.

Overview
Hebrew for high school language credit, taught in the context of a Jewish school, provides our teens a unique and special opportunity to strengthen Jewish identity through language, culture, land, and peoplehood. Students learn Hebrew not only to satisfy their high school language requirement, but to further develop their Jewish identities.

Tuesdays 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM and Thursdays 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Hebrew High gathers every Tuesday night. Hebrew classes meet for the first hour, and then the second hour is a Judaic elective of each student’s choosing. Additionally, Hebrew students meet Thursdays from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Students can expect 1-2 hours of homework a week, depending on assignments.

Curriculum
Our classes are led by passionate Hebrew education professionals. Intro class uses a foundational primer book, which will have even the most novice learner speaking in Hebrew by the end of the first semester! Upper levels use Bishvil Ha’Ivrit, a book and online learning platform which allows for self-led and group learning. All classes, regardless of level, will incorporate specialized project-based learning, celebrations for holidays, and connections to Israeli life and culture.

Hebrew for credit is a program available for registered Hebrew High students.
General Hebrew High tuition ranges depending on when/how payment is made:
$660 Early Bird by July 15 if paid in full
$695 after July 15 or on payment plan
Hebrew fee +$400 per student (does not need to be paid in full for early bird)
